Hey everybody! Have a 97 grand Laredo that had the infamous stalling issue, got to the point to where it would not fire at all. Threw a oem crankshaft sensor in it for good measure and that wasn't it. Found a wrecked 97 and got the pcm out of it and it fired right up.. dies in 2 seconds. I assume I have vtss because there is the red led on top of the dash, but it's never worked since I got the vehicle. I get no chirp of the horn or blinking lights when I lock with the fob or manually and I've never seen the led blinking. I've tried manually unlocking the passenger door, no go. I'm not sure how to disarm it if I can't get it to arm in the first place. Open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Izzy

Not much action over here. Anyway to close the thread, the bcm in my cherokee had been modified by the dealer and security was disabled. I took the bcm out of the donor jeep and it runs again. Note to anyone else who goes this route, your odometer will read the mileage of the vehicle you pulled the bcm out of.
