I have had this car for years and got with 110,000 on it.. now has 190,000 changed the fluid/filter with the val plus 4 few months ago and haven't tried to drive it until last week, well it did have some but not alot of really small shavings in the pan, cleaned it and put it back on and well, if i go out to and start it up it wont go into gear, it has to be warmed up before going into gear then it will come out of gear again, its full of fluid and maybe alitte too much. when its good and warmed and stays in gear it shifts beautifully! everything i hear about the silinode seems to be just a pause in shifting or going into gear, should i try a new silonode ? thanks jgstang65@gmail.com

 

transmission shop here in missoula told me to make sure the fluid is ok and to check it warm in nutruel, i've been doing it in park. snowing right now and charging the battery so will check that in the morning.

 

My 98 ZJ will not move in drive unless I press throttle almost half way down. Manually shift 1-2 and reverse works fine. Any suggestions or info on that problem?

 

Update! I checked the fluid in N after warmed up good, it was low so added some fluid and took it for a spin.. everything seems to be working nicely so far, now to check for any leaks.
