The gas gage on my 97 Grand goes from half tank to empty constantly going down the road. Wouldnt bother me except for for the annoying chime and light both coming on ever time it hits empty! Just started today but it been going on all day. What do think, fuel pump next?
I hate getting stranded. Jeeps still running fine.

 

Srarted right up today, gas gage has gone from half tank to empty roughly every 5 to ten second while while sitting idleing, ANYBODY?

 

Probably the fuel level sender. Not ure if it cb be ordered separately or if it comes on the pump. Either way you'll have to drop the tank, so I personally would opt for a whole new pump.
