i want to know if i could replace my 95 zj 4.0 with a 97 zj 4.0. i want to know if i will run into any problems due to my jeep being obd1 and the new motor being from a 97. i can get this engine for 150$ and its got 120k on it. that a steal in my eyes, engines in great shape the jeep was just totaled due to a rear end collision. let me know.! thanks guys

As long as its a good motor its is a steel my last one cost me 250. The only things I would look out for is the sensors. They are diff in those years. So if ur new motor comes with the sensors and plugs for them u should be good. Or if ur old motor is in running shape u can use its sensors. That and don't throw out uf old fly wheel untill u know u can use the new one if it comes with one. My last used motor came off a different year xj and had a fly wheel on it. Lol had to take the motor back out to put the old one on the new motor. Not fun when u think ur about dune.
