Default 96 zj dies while running then will re start and continue driving

First off I am new and this is my first post so be easy on me. I have a 1996 GC laredo with 190.000 miles on it. Lately its been dying while driving and sometimes re starts and continues to drive with the key still in the ON position but other times I have to limp over to the shoulder and it takes a few times on cranking for her to start. The weird part about it is that i dont just lose my gauges and the motor dies but i lose all electrical power... including radio. I am debating on ECM cause a CPS wont make me lose power like that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
