95 Grand Cherokee Speedometer
My 95 Grand Cherokee also has no speedo. It was working OKintermittently, then died completely. I have checked the VSS plug (withsensor unplugged. White/Orange = 5.1 V, Black / Blue 17 ohms toground, White/Black 7.3 V.
I've removed the cluster, tightened the screws, sprayed the plug withcontact cleaner. Also cleaned the plug at the brake pedal (which Ibelieve is the main connector for wires from the engine compartment to underdash), the plug at the firewall by the right hand valve cover.
I tried a new VSS and the old one with a drill. No luck. This workswell on my other Jeep (99 Cherokee).
Any suggestions??

Does the trip computer in your overhead console still register miles? Then the VSS was never the issue. I recently had this same issue and I swapped in a junk yard cluster. Nice to have a functioning speedo again.
