Default 95 cheroke, is the trans cooler alone enough

I have a 95 cheroke and I am having the trans rebuilt. I was told to replace or bypass the radiator. I instaled a trans cooler but I want to know if it will be good enough by it self?
I have the v8 model lerado.

It depends on what cooler you got, or what the rating is. There are many vehicles that have a coolant/oil cooler only, and many that have just a air to oil cooler. I would say if it was a bigger cooler you will be just fine, but I dont know which one you got.

I bought the
Imperial Econokool
by hayden model # 242016
It says its for trucks, motor homes and suv's towing up to 5000 lbs
It just says it adds up to 60% additional cooling.

I have the same cooler and its working pretty good for me but if your going to be splicing the tranny lines it wouldnt be a bad idea to put in an external filter. I put one in mine just so I can change more often.

Did you bypass the radiator?
The filter is a good idea, thanks

Thats a pretty big cooler, it should be more than enough. Considering its rated up to a class C motorhome with a 5000# trailer capacity. Like said above, an external trans filter is a good idea and they can also be used for the P/S system too.

Amen at that. It cost me $800 for the build and wasn't much fun to get out. I'll probably get black listed but usually I'm a Chevy guy but I traded for a 2001 Arctic Cat ZRT 600 snowmobile so it's my first Chrysler vehicle.
I only got 2000 mi. out of it before it went out. The trans was replaced before I got it. I should have done some more research before trading. It only has 129,000 mi. but one of the #'s on the odomiter was a little off, hmmmm.
Thanks guys.
It didn't look this nice when I picked it up.

If you bypass the one in the rad, you MUST mount the cooler directly to the AC Condenser. If not you will only get air across it as you are moving, not ideal for stop and roll traffic.
