94 ZJ Tcase
I have a 94 ZJ 4.0 with a NP231 Tcase and wanted to know if an NP242 would work. Reason i am asking is because today i out the Jeep in gear and she would not move. When i put it in Reverse there was a very loud whining noise come from the Tcase. Any suggestions or recommendation would be greatly appreciated. This jeep is my DD.

Yes, the NP242 is usually what comes in a ZJ. The 231 is usually found in XJs. Being it's a 94, I'm not certain what spline you need, but check out this for the info; http://jeepforum.com/forum/f13/trans...-np242-685644/
