I got a little issue. Every time I unlock my jeep the "alarm" goes off. My horns dead so it sounds like someone stepping on a goose. I have to put the key back in the door and turn it to make it stop. And if the alarm is going off I can't start it because I think it cuts the fuel.

Is this a factory security system? I don't have remotes or anything so I don't think it's an aftermarket. I haven't really had time to search for anything under the dash.

If its a factory thing how can I turn it off or just stop it from doing this? It's kinda annoying every time I unlock it.

IMO, take it to the dealer and have the system deprogramed. It might be a little expensive, but easiest way. The system is too integrated to try to remove it. I've been told that someone with a laptop can do it, but I've got a laptop and haven't a clue about what to do! Being a 94, the dealer may not know either!

P.S. Your horns are probably burned out because of this problem. My advise, don't ever lock it.
