You can disarm it by putting the key in the driver door and turning it back and forth 3 times..

You can get rid of the alarm but it requires dis dissasembly of the dash. Took me 8 hours to do mine..

When you do the door key thing it will just disarm it till the next time you go to get in.

Manual has nothing on removal. I had to search. See my Alarm modal had a short in it and would kill the ignition for no reason. The dealers didn't even know how to get rid of it. I had to find someone that owned a small shop that had seen the problem and had fixed it.

I think a Haynes manual might have the break down as to where the modal is located. See you pull the dash apart to get to the modal, than you start the vehicle. While it's running on plug the modal. Than let the vehicle run for 5 min. (this reprograms the PCM to not look for the modal) turn off, try to restart. If no start replug in and repeat, if it starts(it should). Reassemble and the alarm is now all gone.

To get to the modal, most all the dash comes apart. The modal says Security System on it. And is located on the passenger side of the center Bessel.. Behind the piller of the dash. You won't see it at first but you'll be able to feel it. The wires are long enough you can get it out of the dash.

Hope this all helps you out..

There is a switch in the door that senses when the key is turned. I had a 95 that did the same thing, just find one in junk yard or whatever, also, if you use the power door locks when you get out, the computer prompts it to arm... Easiest thing I noticed is to power lock before turning the ignition off if you need to lock all doors, it tricks the computer because the alarm will not arm while the ignition is on or engine running.

A short in the alarm can cause it to die right after start up.

Something you might want to try is, at start up turn the key but not to where it starts, count to 10 than turn it all the way over. This give the computer a chance to go through all systems. And give the alarm chance to not fault out..

The alarm disables the fuel pump, basically as a theft deterrent...
