Default 94 gcl neutral safety switch

I have the 3 prong style on the drivers side of the trans. When I go to remove it do I need to worry about losing fluid while it is out? Also is there any to know which way it is in to make sure the pins are in the right order. It is tough to see with the drive shaft in the way.Any other things I should look for please let me know. Thanks

Jack the left side of the Jeep up enough to keep the fluid loss to a minimum. The plug will only go on one way.

Thanks,Since it looks like the center pin is the the common power to the outer pins it would make a difference if the outer pins were not in the right position. So when the switch is fully tight the configuration of the pins will be correct? Thanks again

Not always, but the plug will only go on one way.
