I've had my 1994 Grand Cherokee (love it) for a few months and last week I went to go leave school and the battery was dead so i was advised to just buy a new battery since I had a few places to go and didn't wanna risk me getting stuck somewhere as well it was a no name battery that was in it when I bought it and was unsure how old it was, now yesterday I go to start it and the brand new battery was dead again (diehard gold battery from sears), now after talking to my cousin who has owned multiple Jeeps and my brother who's also a knowledgeable car guy said to make sure nothing was left on and a few other simple questions to rule out something stupid, but both of them said it's either something that's drawing the battery dead somehow or the alternator went bad, what do you guys think?
just as a side note the voltage gauge goes up about the quarter of the way (so between 9 and 14 I believe) but when I go to turn the key to start it, it just clicks and doesn't start..and for the past week the gauge was reading right in the middle with no problems starting either..
