I'm at 136k, only does this every once in a while after I've been using the Jeep every day driving over 100miles a day. I'll hit about 65mph and I feel it on the throttle first, it just loses power, bucks a bit, tries to bump me down a gear, I'll hit the gas again and it jumps out of it for about 3 minutes then does it again. I can drive through the bucking, but occasionally it'll take me down to 2nd gear and force me to pull over. Most of the time after I turn it off and start it back up, the drive afterwards doesn't have hiccups. I also took note of something that happens when I let it sit idle at a light after the bucking occurs, the battery gauge will go up and down, the engine will start to sputter, and my lights will dim low to high. I keep it from dying, but if it let it sit without giving it gas it could die on me. Thoughts? I appreciate all your help and I'll continue to browse the forum for threads similar to mine. My first thought is replace the battery cable ends. Low voltage in the system caused by corrosion can cause all kinds of weird problems. The problem is basically the smaller red wire that goes to the Power Distribution Center (relay/fuse box under the hood) That wire supplies all the power to the system except for the starter.

 

Did it end up fixing your issue or what did it end up being I’m having the same exact problem.
