So I'm at a loss. I have a 93 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 and no power to the coil. It has alarm issues and the previous owner has the dash apart. When you hook up the battery, the alarm system triggers and I can disable with the key. It will crank and crank but never start. It has a new crank position sensor, coil, distributor, plugs, wires,the works. I'm starting to think its the ecu. When you turn the key on the check engine light doesn't come on. The bulb and all fuses are good. Also have good power to the Autoshutdown relay and power to the crank position sensor.

Check the wires/connecters that supply the ECU. Many times the wires back out and need to be pushed in a bit. try starting it while you or someone wiggles the connections to the ECU. If It starts pull off the connections and clean and push in the wires. Sometimes they will back out...Especially since you've been in there moving things around installing the new distributor, wire,sensors and such.. Sometimes that will solve the problem.. Also "make sure" there is a good ground from the engine to the body and to the frame... The ECU is very sensitive to ground issues. and by the way so is the alarm system..

I'll check all the ecu pins. Also have a known good ecu to try monday.
