I am looking side mirrors for my dad's 03 Grand cherokee (overland) in Europe but I recently learned the parts differ Europe and States. I recently was told 53054460 AD and 55155225AG are the right oens(not 100%sure) but these are very expensive -$500 a piece.
I want to learn from experts if I can use any US parts in my car. US parts are much cheaper but not sure if it would fit.
I am looking for power, folding,heated,auto dimming mirrors. If i cant find this ,I am ok to settle down to give up some features for a cheaper price.

part numbers are different for overseas but I dont see how most of the stuff wouldnt be interchangeable

I was talking with a guy down under the other day and he made the same comment. Said he buys from American suppliers all the time and still gets better prices then local. even with the shipping.. Check out you local Junkyards for parts and mirrors and body parts should be interchangeabe. I don't see Jeep or Chrysler changing a body part to Europe vehicles, maybe a chrome piece or something but from what I've seen around the world they are pretty much the same.. Most cars are world friendly cars now and have some things that are standard all over.. I wouldn't hestiate to call or contact some suppliers and talk with them about it.. You might be surprized.
