I have a 5.2 L Grand Cherokee, the gauge says its overheating but as far as i can tell its not. Its runs in the red and doesn't go back down. There are no other signs of overheating. Any suggestions on what it could be befor ei go replacing parts?

 

First you need to verify the actual temp of the engine when the gauge is reading hot. Once you confirm that you're not overheating, you need to look for the sender and make sure the wire going to it is not grounding out anywhere.
