Head light assembly
Has anyone found a good head light bucket to replace stockers? You can get oem type cheap but I thought there may be something better out there

There is no actual head light bucket on a ZJ. The lamp assemblies are held into the header panel by the adjusters. I'm not sure what the set up is on a WJ. As far as the lamp assemblies go, factory Jeep parts are best. The after market units are cheaply made and don't fit as well on the adjusters. China, nuff said.

On the WJ, the headlight assemblies are held in with one vertical bolt. My 97 ZJ had 3 ball sockets that snapped onto the adjusters and they break easily. My left headlight was held in with a spring because 2 of the plastic sockets were broken.
On the WJ, the adjusters move the bulb sockets for aiming. The ZJ adjusters move the whole assembly and they are the first thing to not work.
I just bought 2 new assemblies for my WJ and they are, of course Chinese. They cost me $100 each. I haven't put them in yet because of the cold.
Hey Busted! Is there anything besides a good wax to protect the lenses from sand pits and scratches?

There is a film made for RC car chassis that is clear that will help. They protect EXPENSIVE titanium chassis from landings of 4 pound cars from 6 feet in the air hammering down at 45MPH, onto gravel and dirt.

Only thing I have to say is that clear bra stuff is expensive, so not sure what a place would charge you to have two cut/installed.
