my jeep was running just fine, then it just quit and would not start?
I suspect the fuel pump or relay died?
I am new to jeeps, and a fairly decent mechanic.
I bought this one 10k ago and it has been great,I want to fix it and keep it, some of you jeep people probably know whats up,it has the v-8,

I would start by checking fuel or spark. Did it just not start when you went out to drive it or did it die while driving.

Yes, does it turn over? My 93' wouldn't turn over and it was as simple as cleaning the ends of the battery cables/terminals/ground wire. Starts great now.

I have a 93 Grand Cherokee limited that had the same issue. First thing I did was change the fuel filter, that didn't work, but it needed to be done, next I unplugged the lines on the fuel rail, turned the key while standing outside the vehicle, no fuel came out so I assumed it was the fuel pump. Once I got the skid plat off and dropped the gas tank, to my surprise, one of the wires had come off the pump, I simply plugged it back in, put it all back together and sha-zam, it started. I hope the fix for your jeep is a free one, or nearly free.

Relays and fuses, man. These things are a nightmare for the uninitiated. Just remember AIR, FUEL, and SPARK.

I tested 40psi at the fuel rail with the ign. on,
no power to coil with the key on,
now I suspect the old security system?
only partially disconnected,
anyone know where they hooked them up?under the dash maby?

do they connect through the ign.switch?

or something else?

check the fuses. I had one of mine blow while driving my Jeep and I lost spark. Not sure which one it was. Also, if you have a blown fuse, check your wiring and make sure that none of it is shorted. Mine was on my exhaust from where other owner had a motor put in it and they did not put all the wires back where they should have been. Also, if you have a way to check your coil have it checked. In the last 3 months I have had 5 friends that there coils just went out on them.

Check your ASD relay. Also, any mods to the security system are suspect.

I finally got it into the garage and charged the battery,I was able to start it after messing with the security system fuses,I finally pulled the 3 fuses with the engine running, and have been able to start it ever since.
I think this should work out?
anyone know if I have to disconnect further??

so that did not work out so good,I got 12 miles down the road this morning before it quit again?? towed back to my garage an I thought for sure it was the fuel filter as it was clogged,,,but I have no power to the coil with the key on,I guess the security system had nothing to do with it anymore,as I pull and replace fuse's.
anyone have a schematic?? I will do a search,I have no book.
I am thinking about jumping the wires temp. just to see if it works out??

That's crankshaft position sensor. I'm not sure where it's located on a V8. When you find it, check the wiring.

Haynes repair manual is helpful.
