Ok 2wd is right, 4wd part time is actually 4wd full time, 4wd full time is actually 4wd part time, and it won't let me go into neutral or 4lo

Loosen the linkage, manually shift the TC into 4lo, put the shifter in 4lo and tighten linkage adjuster.

According to my book, the linkage should be adjusted in NEUTRAL. Raise to rear of the vehicle, loosen the sliding trunnion on the linkage and make sure it slides. Place the transfer case shift lever in neutral and verify that it's in neutral by turning the driveshaft with the trans in park. Place the console lever in neutral and tighten the sliding trunnion. Verify you haven't moved the shift lever or the transfer case lever out of neutral and then test drive.

Should do you proud.

This is for prior to 99. In 99, they went to a cable. I believe the only way to adjust the cable is to bend the cable support bracket under the car.
