My front input shatter or known as low/reverse drum looks like it’s bad . I’m doing an overhaul and I’m wondering on some input and tips to help me does these photos look okay? I have no reverse and it whines in neutral. I got a overhaul kit with a new low/reverse band and all gaskets with clutch’s and steels and ordered a new drum I think drum is toast

 

Ehhhh.... yeah. That's not supposed to do that. You kids always dumpin' clutches in your auto's! Haha. Good luck buddy.

Bypass the transmission cooler with an external, and remove the drain back valve in the transmission line. Both plug completely up, runs hot obviously, and starts having shift issues.Biggest and easiest fixes I’ve found in my 12 years of having a 42re.
