awhile back me and my dad swapped out the old 247 (Quadradrive) transfer case out of my 2000 4.0L WJ and put the 242 (Selectatrac) in it because the 247 in the 4.0L are hard to find. when we got the 242 transfercase the junkyard had cut the shifter on the transfercase. so we had to make the old 247 shifter lever work by hacking it and making it longer and angled. but i can only shift into 2wd, 4hi PT, and 4hi FT. i was wondering if i need to get the shift lever off a 242 tcase and use it? or if i have to get all new linkage?
