This 2014 is my 4th GC and it drives/rides like a dream. I love the new 8 sp tranny. After going through all the settings I find the A/C will not be on when I use remote start even though A/C was left on at shut off. Jeep Tech has no suggestions except a dealer visit - not surprising since it's so new and probably not a lot of data on issues yet. I would love to avoid a dealer visit and just reboot the computer myself, but will probably regret it. The book is no help. Is a dealer visit my only option?

I talked to the dealer and they have not heard of this issue - yet. Have you noticed that in the "control settings" there is a setting for comfort control remote start for heated seats/wheel. Just as a test, I checked that box thinking it might also activate the A/C - no such luck. Is it just me that thinks there should also be a setting to select remote start for a/c as they did with seats? Somebody suggested the system works when outside temp is above 80. That's not the issue since it was near 90 today and still no a/c on remote start. I know that many Chrylser/Jeep execs in Detroit drive the '14 GC right now and wonder how long they will live with this "issue" ?? Hope they lean on the tech group to get this program fix to the dealers soooooon - it's hot in the South!!

 

I found the same issue on my 2012 JGC that I bought new in July 2012. Don't be surprised if this is the way it's intentionally programmed and that it's for fuel economy reasons due to CAFE rules and Jeep won't admit it.
