2004 WJ 4.7L Random Cut off.
I got this jeep back in December. Ran great.
Recently changed the spark plugs.
It had been running Autolight Plat.
I replaced them with Champion Copper and gapped them per spec.
My jeep is equipped with an autostart.
This week fuel level was at 1/4 tank. I cranked the jeep to let it warm up after work. After about 5-6 minutes it just shut off. Started right back up and ran fine.
Later sitting at a stoplight. She died again. Started right back up.
Then last night sitting waiting at a light again. She died. All of this has been been below 1/4 tank. Could that be the issue?

Old fart with a wrench
If you're asking for my opinion, I'd say it sounds like a CPS that's about ready to fail. My 4.0 did the same thing. Not even a stutter, just died like you turned off the key. Always at idle, never underway. By the time I had a new one in my hand and on the way to my buddy's garage, it would hiccup once in a while.
Again, just my opinion, but buy a Mopar CPS. They cost a little more, but they use a neodymium rare earth magnet in them.

My old '99 Cherokee Classic 4.0L died while driving down the road. Well, first it died at a stoplight, but started right back up again. Light turned green and I got up to about 45-50mph, and it died again. There were no warnings prior to this. Turned out to be the CPS.
But when I bought the Mopar CPS from a local dealership, it was actually cheaper than the generic parts store "equivalent". That was pretty cool.
