Can it be compressed in put back in anyone else ever have this happen, I have never seen this before it is not broken just slipped out! Also stock not raised up or anything like that!

You will have to jack it up, support the frame undo the upper shock mount and then let the axle fall down. There should be a clip on the bottom to hold it in. If it isn't there, get one for it

Thanks, They sell on line "Iron Rock Off Road" clips that screw into bottom of control arm to hold the coils springs in place. Why would the spring pop out in the first place? Do not go off road with it, I hit a cardboard box and ran it over that would not cause spring to pop out. I look under and the base is not rusted out but the spring with the rubber base is off to the edge of the control arm.

The center of the spring seat has a round tube section that holds the spring centered in the seat. It's rotted away, since both of mine have already done. My mechanic removed the springs and welded a section of exhaust tubing in to replace them. So far, they are still holding. On mine, the swaybar link caught them before they totally popped out.
Which is it? a 2000 or 2004? Change your signature if it's a 2004.

Don't forget to keep the rad cooler in line. The rad cooler actually warms the fluid in the winter. Otherwise you can drive for miles before it will shift! Been there.

I only mentioned that because my brother had problems with his Chevy truck not shifting when he didn't use the rad cooler! My mechanic used a power steering cooler from a Chevy Suburban for a trans cooler for my WJ when we replaced the transmission. I'm waiting for my Jeep to reject the transplant, LOL!
