I have a 2001 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7 L. I put a new fuel pump on and it made a whining noise did not do this before I put the pump on. We took the tank off check the fuel pump everything was clear. So I went ahead and put on a Nother fuel pump. It is still making the whining noise. I have put on to new fuel filters and it is still whining. What is the deal please help.

Welcome to CF!
If you used an aftermarket pump rather then a Mopar pump, that could be the problem. I put a NAPA pump in my wife's 96 Dodge Caravan and had the same whine. Not very loud, but noticeable when I never heard it before. It was only $150 compared to the Mopar at $500. I can't tell you how long it lasted because I sold the van shortly after when I bought my jeep.
