Battery went dead and after jump starting it, it would only stay running if i kept my foot on the gas. (would not idle)

Happened on mine when the battery died - I fitted a new battery and had to run it for about 5 mins at a fast idle with foot on the gas - after that OK, I'm guessing the airflow sensor might be recalibrating.
