Trying to find info/diagrams of 1999 grand cherokee limited front inner axle seals. The one that was in it was tore up so bad I can't figure out where the new one goes. Currently working on the drivers side, the seal I have seems too large of OD to fit. Do I drive it in the end? Can't find info on the seal, just axle replacement.

Welcome to CF!
IDK for sure, but I think it goes in behind the carrier bearing from the inside of the case. jeep4x4center.com has good pictures of the seal and good prices as well. $3.44 each.

Post a picture of the seal. If it's like a ZJ or XJ inner axle seal it will have a metal bell shaped part that faces the wheel end of the axle tube. The bell shaped part help guide the shaft into the side gear without damaging the rubber part of the seal. You will have to drop the carrier out in order to drive the seals in and out.

Thanks for the backup, Busted. I though I knew correctly.
