1996 grand cherokee help
My jeep will start and run fine and then after driving about 10 to 15 miles it just dies like there is no power after it does this sometimes it will start right back up other times it won't I have to wait like 24 hrs for it to start I start it drive to work and it sits all day and then won't start I have power to everything and it crank over great just will not start and then after sitting like I said over night it starts right up no problems when it won't start the check gauges light comes on and the charge gauge goes down I have been told a few different things to consider they are the pcm the gas cap do to being broke it could be vapor locking and other things need help don't have a lot of money to spend thing to get it fixed I can work on it myself but need help figuring it out.

Replace the cam and crank sensors. If they are the original parts they are most likely in need of replacement. Do not cheap out and try to save a buck by buying the least expensive sensors you can find. Factory Mopar sensors are recommended, but high quality aftermarket brands would be almost as good. I have had good luck with Standard and BWD brands, you can find those at O'reilly's and Napa.
