1995 Grand Cherokee TQ/Flexplate mismatch
Hello all,
I'm in the process of replacing the 42RE tranny in our 1995 4.0 Grand Cherokee. Reman tranny from AutoZone. The reman torque converter's boltholes do not line up to those on the flexplate. Going circumferally around the flexplate, the distances (center to center) between the four boltholes measure 7", 7", 7" and 7.25". The distances between the boltholes on the reman TQ are all spaced at 7". Unfortunately, both the the tranny and TQ cores have been sent back. Any advice?
Thanks,
Dave

Yeah, go back to Autozone and tell them to get you the right TC or flexplate. Either way, it's their fault they won't go together.
