Hey! Where can I get a small 110 AC converter? I want to run Christmas lights on my WJ.
While I realize that the christmass lights where a joke. If you did want to do it you don't need an AC inverter. All you need to do is use the strands bulb voltage, and simple math to get how many bulbs you need to use to get them to light. Then just cut a section of bulbs out to match.

Example: 2.3 volt is a typical voltage of Christmas lamps.
So 14v/2.3v= 6.08 bulbs per strand....

I was thinking..Could you just wire those under dash LED lights into the same switch that controls the brightness of your instrument cluster lights and adjust them that way?

It would require some sort of load resistor on the LEDs, same way as it normally would. My car, just for the record is a 1990 Mazda 626--my daily driver. When I shut the doors, the lights dim until they are off. Typically something I've only seen on fancy Caddy's.

If I were to wire them to the existing manual dimmer switch, I imagine it would come on any time I switched my headlights on.
