i have a 1993 jeep cherokee that wont start went out this morning.turn the key nothing claened the terminals made sure they were tight nothing its getting power and when i turn the key nothing happens doesnt even turn over and the volts dont go down like it would if it was bad correct? what would cause it to not even turn over? Thanks

 

sounds like ignition switch or starter solenoid

 

...how old is your BATT? could be bad... always the first thing to check is BATT voltage. You got a voltmeter? Great tool to own.

 

or even test light. check bstt. pos, to block see if ground hasn't lost contact

 

do headlights come on?

 

Are you sure the gear selector is all the way in park?
