1993 Grand Cherokee blowing coolant after rebuild
Ok so here is my problem we bought a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for step-sons first vehicle. It had a blown head gasket. Decided to do total rebuild on it. Both heads were cracked. Got new heads (1) from a wrecking yard, Machine shop bathed and magnetic particle tested it and found it to be good. The other is brand new. looked over the block and checked it under very good lighting no signs of any issue ( was not checked at the machine shop Starting to regret that.) put it all back together with all new internal parts including performance cam and high flow oil pump. started it up and IMEDIATELY started blowing coolant out the exhaust. Idles just a little rough no surprise after seeing coolant coming out the pipe.
No bubbles in the radiator and no water in the oil before or after rebuild. Hit me with your ideas.

Are you sure it's coolant coming out of the exhaust? It's normal to have water come from the exhaust, it's a byproduct of the chemical reaction in the catalytic converter.

blowing coolant out the exhaust
Unfortunately I am 100% sure it is coolant. Huge amounts of steam and has the sticky sweet smell of antifreeze which I forgot to include on the original post. let it run for about 3-4 minutes hoping it was a buildup of coolant in the exhaust from prior to the rebuild and now it's vey hard to start. Going to check compression on all 8 cylinders to try to rule out head gasket and head. looks like it could be bad intake manifold
anyone have any experience with bad intakes on these 93 5.2's leaking coolant into the manifold??

Torqued everything to spec out of the book.
Thinking back it didn't exactly sit well at first and did kind of seam like it might have been a little warped. It took several laps around to get it all torqued.
