My daughter's 06 Grand 3.7 V-6 occasional has a no crank problem.

All the dash lights come on. She has to cycle the key back and forth 3-5 times before it will start cranking. Then it starts right up.

I replaced the starter and solenoid about 2 weeks ago with a brand new assembly from Jeep. That stopped the problem for a little while, but now it's back.

Suggestions?

I would suspect the ignition switch or the NSS. Do the reverse lights work? The NSS controls them as well on my '00 WJ.

The last time I saw them, they worked. My mechanic also suspects the same things you do.

There is apparently an ignition switch recall on this Jeep, as well as Commanders from this era. Same problem GM has. I'm trying to track this down further.

If I can get a free switch, that's good. And eliminate a possibility.
