- 00 GC Laredo ... Turns = No, Hazards = Yes
Have a 2000 GC Laredo V8, 122,000 miles ... pretty decent shape, southern car - TN.
Recently the directionals have completely stopped working.
As an additional point of reference, the parking lights still work, as do the four-way "Hazard" flashers ... which both utilize the same bulbs & sockets.
I am handy with a wrench, but this is my first Chrysler vehicle ... which may, or may not make a difference.
Any particular angles or areas I should aim for before others?
I have not done anything yet.
Thanks for anything offered, folks.

Old fart with a wrench
Welcome to CF!
Now that's funny! I'm having the similar problem with my '00 WJ, but it's just the left turn signal. The right signal works fine and so do the hazards.
Once the cab warms up, it works fine, but when it's below 32*, it doesn't. Now here's the trick. If I turn on the hazards, let them flash for about 30 seconds, then turn on the left signal, turn off the hazards and the left signal will work after that until it gets cold again.
I think the contacts inside the multi-function switch are worn to the point they don't make contact all the time. rockauto.com has one for $58 but I'm going to try a used one for $5 to see if it makes a difference.

If the switch is the same or close to the same as the xj, I pulled mine apart and cleaned up all the contacts and hit everything with some dielectric grease. I won't tell you it was easy to put back together, but once I figured out how everything worked, it only took a few tries.

Having never owned an XJ, I couldn't tell you, BUT I have one from my ZJ in the garage that I could scope out. No, wait! the ZJ's switch doesn't have the dash light control in it.
