Got a little done yesterday. I started working on the floor pans and stripping the interior.
All the extra brackets and anything I could find that wasn't absolutely necessary to make it run I stripped out of the engine bay. Came out to 14lbs on the bathroom scales.
Mounted up and cut and folded some 97+ fenders, I have alot of 97+ fenders so I decided to do a nose job, plus I like the late model look better. I ground the paint off were I folded the lip so the paint wouldn't flake and make more work.

I'm going to stack factory isolators and a home made spacer in the front so I can keep the stock spring rate. The softer the front spring the better it reacts and transfers weight. In the rear I have a set of front waggie, sprung under springs I'm going to build a soft spring pack out of. Notice they have the same thickness for springs as the xj springs below. I'm thinking that the xj main leaf then the waggie main leaf and second spring. I'm hoping for 2-2 1/2 lift.

I got the rear lifted and ended up with about 3 in. I got the drivers side rear cut, I drilled out the spot rivets cut as high as I could and welded everything back up. Put some 33's on to see how much more cutting/lifting I was gonna have to do for 35's.

Got all the metal work done and quarters folded. Put some s10 hooks on the front using the bottom bumper bolt and drilling a new one behind it. Finished stripping the interior and welded in a couple floor patches.

No it's not a JCR - their stuff is ugly with a wide flat slab of steel in the front. This bumper (what I can see) would look like a Hanson if it curved on the corners. Kinda hard to tell if it wraps around but I hope it does. I like the sloped front and the smaller front. Add some curve to the corners, make it stick forward less than a winch bumper & you have my interest.
My stock bumper is beat up pretty bad & Christmas is coming ...

Well I've finished patching and Rhino'd the floors, rewired and installed the dash and interior. Wired the engine compartment and shoved it outside (tired of looking at it LOL) Installing the drivetrain is next and I'm digging for some parts I still need. I need to work on my Waggy now I dont even have it finished and winters near. Hears how it sits now and a pic of my waggie I gotta finish now...

It's been a long winter, I got the waggie done and finally got the 2dr in and got the motor, trans, transfer, and front lift on. Ended up with about 4 on the front and 3 on the rear. I ended up buying 33/10.50 boggers so my wife can run them on her trail jeep too.
