White and Bedliner 98 xj
Hi everyone. I've had my jeep since last August and I am still not even 16. School and sports get in the way of working and making money for what I want so very little has been done so far. This summer is looking promising though with a good job, several mowing jobs, and odd jobs. I've finally gotten a few things done now that school is out. The future plans of my xj are: 3 in RC kit with whole leafs, 31s, 15x8 wheels, Vivid/Superchip, Cold Air Intake, Cubby sub install, Dynamat in doors. Making pretty decent money so far. If i can find tires and wheels used I will definitely have the lift before school starts.

Story of Jeep till this point. No early pics.
When I bought my xj it had a very very bad rattle can paint job on the grill, tire flares, bumper, and trim. It was peeling and not the same white as the jeep.
I've prepped and painted all of these areas with Herculiner and bedliner because it would be original and easily cover up all the runs. Less prep work for me. Still lots of sanding though. Pics of Bedliner
Please pay no attention to much nicer car in background haha

I really really would like to and you're exactly right a 4.5in lift kit from RC is only about 50 bucks more than a 3in lift haha. I'm just worried it will hurt it as my DD and many additional parts and costs will come along with the larger lift. I'll see at the end of the summer. Thanks

Audio
Mostly what I have done has been audio related. Kickers all the way around. Underpowered. I hope I can score a cheap 4 ch. amp. haha.
Jensen head unit from Cruthchfield. Love Crutchfield. Currently have dual 12" Boss subs in ported box with a Sony amp I really like. Rattle as hard as I need them to. No one to show off to and my mom hates them hahaha. Bought a cubby sub box from XFXHellRaiser and that will be here shortly. Current subs are up for sale. Pics
Would like a 4 ch. amp and tweeters to finish off the audio stuff eventually.

Thats funny. My parents leased a grand cherokee in the 90s and had the same story. Had that a few years then my mom bought a green minivan aka the "turtle"

Calipers, drums, rotors
This weekend I painted the calipers, drums, and rotors. Pretty easy and cheap job. Wire brush, 3 coats of dupli-color rust fix, and several coats of black on the rotors and drums and several coats of blue on the calipers. No pics right now. Maybe later. The craigslist searches for tires and wheels continues!

You shouldnt need much of anything extra that doesnt come in the kit. plus 31 10.50 tires look really good on a 4.5 lift in my opinion. do a little research on it. theres loads of guys on here with both lifts that im sure would love to chime in and add info. i cant imagine the fuel being to much different either with just one inch either, but in the end its your jeeper so do what you like and what makes you happy

Wheels and tires
I bought a set of 15x8 Ion Alloy rims for dirt cheap on eBay. Then I thought I had bought a set Of 31 Cooper AT3 for an amazing used price but the seller broke the bead taking them off rims. Darn. Back to Craigslist!
