I forgot to mention the second amp I got for my door speakers. I'll get pictures eventually aha. It's finally coming together.

You know I see a lot of 16 yr olds on here with Xjs as their first car. I really don't know very much. It's all been a learning experience thanks to my dad. I gotta start learning at some point. Thanks to this jeep I'm pretty good with speakers and getting better at everything haha.Originally Posted by PortableDesert
I'm 16 and just got my first jeep, jealous that you actually know how to work on cars!

I got the amp for door speakers all done and wired up two tweeters. The tweeters are the best 10 dollar improvement out there haha. The audio is amazing and very well rounded. I was able to do the audio by myself. My dad helped me a lot with the lift. Here's the front all done with LCAs. Really need some 31in tires
I'm going today to get a set of BFG AT K0s. 31" finally. The lift should be done tomorrow and it will be driving this week if everything works out!
Well it's been downpouring here for days. Since my last post I've painted my axles and differential guards. Looks very sharp. I love wire brushes and duplicator rust fix. I picked up a second sound bar and am making some kicker 6x9s fit. I'm making some extension flares and mud flaps for the winter. I've been wondering about the best way to add 1.5 in of lift. Spacers and shackles or 4.5 coils and shackles? What else would be needed to accommodate that lift? I probably won't do that any time soon but I'm curious.
I bought used Napier tire flares and have been working on them all weekend. It would take no time at all if I didn't have rust to fix. Oh well, 3 out of 4 done. I really need some pictures.

, now its my parts truck and a good lesson learned lol.i would recomend the coils and shackles, jeep yj brake lines are longer and cheap at parts stores and will accomadate your lift as it is now and at 4.5 when you upgrade to, also look into an sye kit, look into a good track bar to, mabey an adjustable if you want to keep it when u upgrade,,, its been told to me that its not needed but is something i wish i shoulda done with my first xj is a pitman arm drop, the stock one can be used with small lifts but the factory zj one is an 1" lower and a bolt on swap that many on this site have done..
looks good

my XJ was my first rig too, it has been great. I also know little about my XJ, however I do know tractors and small engines very well so I think i will figure it out.

Nice build so far. I'm running a RC 3"lift with 31x10.5 15s. I love it. It is my DD as well. Check my build if ya want
