The day after I got the valve cover and steering together and going, the wife and I went to the Humane Society and adopted this little bugger. Stella is 9 months old and quite the handful. I've taken her out a couple times and so far she loves the XJ.. half doors are a dog's best friend!

I also had a friend come visit from Miramar and we did a local trail run out to Turquoise Mine in the Barry Goldwater Range.

The week after, I did another run that went to the American Girl Mine which was an open pit, and this one that was blocked off.

The locals showed us how to get in so we explored a bit, maybe 100 yards in. But we only had cell phone lights and no oxygen meter so we didn't continue.

Last weekend we had a pretty fun trail. It was somewhere in the Cargo Muchacho mountains in California.

This guy had a rough time when he got caught up in a couple rocks that were a little too big for 4.5" & 33s.

Shortly after that, probably the most experienced driver with us tipped his rig when a rock kicked out. The Metalcloak fenders saved pretty much everything. Only got a couple scratches on the roll bar.

And then in the way out an osprey took off a couple hundred yards ahead of us and flew overhead

I think I'm going to bring it down to 6.5" first and see how I like it. I'll let you know.

Since this picture is pretty much the story of my life, I started on my projectors.

I'm not quite finished yet since this was my first try, and I broke the glass trying to get the first housing apart. I set them up with jb weld and pulled in front of the garage door.

The camera on my HTC One M7 is quite horrible in low light conditions, so that's why all the purple shows up around the edges.

This is the light output on a wall about 40 feet away. It seems to be pretty good considering the cost. I didn't think they would be near this quality.
