haha yeah dude i hear ya, i was just thinkin of like 10 bucks for the carrier... its nothing perfect by any means but it holds up a 33" tire no problem .. and also if u wanted, i could give u a spare front bumper i have... you could easily weld a little stinger onto it if u wanted to or something?
i added u on the book so hmu if u need anythin

Sooo hopefully going to invest in some new tires/wheels/ and an SYE FINALLY. i am lookin at some new 33" bfg km2's, anyone know hom much they usually cost for a set? i get em discount, but i was still curious,

ALSO, ive been llookin at advanced adapters SYE kits.... looks like a kit will run me about 200 bucks? i am just a littl confused.. i thought certain years had different spline counts on the output shaft.. does that effect the sye kit i buy at all? i was lookin to get this one-

http://www.advanceadapters.com/produ...cess-231j-sye/

and then to cut costs for now i was just gonna go with an XJ or ZJ front driveshaft..

sooo not much has changed since ive last posted but i am slowly building up on stuff!

for xmas my family said theyd get or atleast split KM2's with me so ill have some actual tread on this thing soon enough ... either way it leaves me enough mmoney to install a well needed sye

OBVIOUSLY hearing the word SYE, i instantly thing "go bigger".
(who doesn't?)

so i was at my local junkyard today and came home with a couple goodies !

i got 2" lift shackles (greasable) for 20 bucks

a new piece of trim and directional light for 5

and a swing out tire carrier from a pathfinder for 20 bucks

a total of 40 bucks that will keep me busy for a while!

my hopes are to get some 2" coil spacers for up front and sit at 6.5" before spring hits

for the carrier.. i have been wanting to attempt to fab up a steel bumper so im just thinking i could weld it straight to that (it came wit all the latching mechanism stuff so it should be very easy to incorporate to the bumper.
my other thought was to have it as a swing-down carrier and just fab up some mounts so that i can just put it right into the bumper and id create a bracket that could attatch to my roof rack...
SO many options..

but overall im pretty happy wit my finds and i now understand why those guys from american pickers are so happy! this scavenging stuff is fun!
