Picked up some Dodge dakota rear brake lines today for 25 bucks.... much cheaper and just as good as a normal extended line.. that will be goin in soon. And i forgot to mention, i learned the hard way that i have a chrystler 8.25 and not a d35, haha but thank god advanced auto parts had some huge u bolts for 20 bucks, so i was set haha

cant wait to get this front end done god dammit!

UPDATE: so i got the back done and now i am half way through the front... but i seem to have hit a problem... i removed a lower control arm and am replacing it with my RE lowered control arm, but it seems that the bushing bushing are too wide for the mount. there is a smaller metal thing inside that looks like it can un bolt, and the control arm, would fit better, should i remove that orrr....?

so today, i tried for about an hour to get the track ber off, but it is just rusted solid... so what i did was i cut off the old one and then ground the remains down till they were flush, i thought i could have pounded em out with a punch, but had no luck at all. so, i began drilling a hole thinking it would releive some of the pressure from being pressed in, still no. so i am just going to get a 5/8 drill bit ad drill out a new hole :/

heres the so called "progress"

glad to see the camera focused so nicely...

SOO its been a while since i updated this... lots of progress has been made... somehow i actually managed to get that upper track bar bracket off of the frame and had a frind mill out a 5/8 hole for me... so the track bar is now on! (still needs some adjusting but ill leae that to a alignment shop). i drove a little, but the driveshaft was makin some scary noises, especially on decel... so i had to do a tcase drop

2 of the 4 bolts broke on the tcase drop so i am in the process of welding a 1/4 inch plate of steel that i will just bolt the crossmember and tcase drop onto...

but heres some pics of where shes at right now...

ALSO i forot to mention, i installed all new brake lines, front yj brake hoses, rear dakota brake hose (thing is DAMN long), and redid the drum brakes.... i also tossed some harborfreight lights on the bumper.. honestly dont look half bad... ill have some pics soon... also the rims that are on the jeep now (the ones wrapped in 33's) i got for 20 $ and i just picked up a similar wheel at the junkyard for cheap... they are 8 " wide with 4" of bs, so perfect for me... i like the stance..

UPPPPDATE
i ended up welding some 1" square tubing onto my frame and calling it a day.. so wanda is my official dd

I then somehow passed inspection.... the guy told me that my lift is probally illegal but he didnt feel like calculating it.. and that my tires are shot, but he gave me a break on em cuz everythin else was good..

.... of course... living in massachusetts, i just got hit hard with an unusual october snowstorm leaving me without power for 4 days -_-..... but figures... i WOULD have my master cylinder crap out on me as soon as the storm started... so i made it to a Midas 20 mins away with some downshifting and an ebrake.. lol. i got out of there with 250$ outta my pocket... a hit, but not too big of one.

Either way i was bored so i took my flares off, trimmed a good amount, and put some door trim on there.. i haven't gotten to the cut n fold in the rear because id rather wait till Stealthcherokee to be around for it (he did his nicely so i want to make sure mine go the same way lol)

only trimmed pic i got right now...

I put some 100w harbor freight lights up on top with my tire and since we have been in a "state of emergency" ive just been using em on the road and gettin no **** for em lol... i love it

I also permenantly engaged my front driveshaft (bypassed my dumbass CAD)... this took all of 5 minutes and i couldnt be happier with it!

Last but not least, i picked up a nice fat 9k lb recovery strap and a D-Ring hitch (so i can put it in my rear hitch or front bumper receiver thing when needed)

Next on the list is to put in my Drop Pitman arm... im getting wobbles at 45 and im assuming this would be the fix 'cause the stock pitman arm is pulled almost to the end of the splines on the shaft of the steering box....
.....i also was thinking of making a steering box brace once i get some spare time, and i am in the process of making a spare tire carrier that i can just put into my rear hitch (maybe get a little better than 14mpg city.. probally not but maybe...

LAST but not least, i will be painting my wheels black and bedlining my rockers, along with put some sort of cupholders in there.. i am lost without those

All and all, I LOVE my jeep and definately love the looks i get everyday... especially the older women that look at me with a face of disgust.. u can tell they are just thinking "why the hell is that necissary.. that is putting me in danger because there's no way that's safe".. im sure you all know tht feelin

Default PICC UPDATE :)

sooo, heres some pics of wanda in her most recent apparel...

reppin mass .. this pic shows the height of my "tree trimmer" quite well

Heres the last pic i have before i removed the fenders.. im thinkin of relocating them cuz i like the fender look..

just like any other jeep owner.. i park by all other jeeps.. so that people know we're a clan..

before trimming, i gave her her 1st (and probally last) bath

lifestyle shot-

Showin her stance/bumper... i def think its something a prius wouldnt wanna be stuck in front of

and heres some flexin pics...
my RE coils are too stiff to get any good flex outta -_- but the rustys packs do very well even with stock shackles.. i definately need to cut n fold tho cuz it was just scrubbin at full tuck

Let me know what you think!
obviously its an ongoing project... it IS a jeep,
but for now, this is how she will be standin'

i came to the realization the other day that i never disconnected my say bars links to flex or wheel -_- so i did that and mann what a difference! i also swung by the other day at Endangered Species Jeep (local shop) and picked up a pair of rancho 9000's i think? the adjustable ones.... used but for 40 bucks and their still in good shape (look great wire wheeled and painted over black.

and then i decided i needed a tire carrier, and that i wanted to learn how to weld, so i made a hitch receiver tire carrier with some spare steel layin around!

i was surprised actually on the quality of the welds i had made.. i must be a natural

as of now, i am working on a safari rack... should be done with that tomorrow!
