SO, bought my xj for $1600 from a guy in CT. It was in AWESOME condition, 117k and on top of everything, was a 5 SPEED STANDARD with a Hurst shifter.
it was a great deal for just that, BUT it also came with a 4.5" lift kit
The lift kit consisted of rusty's 4.5" full leafs, RE 4.5" coils, RE adjustable trackbar, UCA's and LCA's.
I ended up getting a dodge dakota rear brake hose and yj fronts
here's a pic of when i picked her up <3

First things first, i patched the floors and replaced the exhaust
(got a dynomax catback exhaust for 25 bucks after rebate
)

next, i bought some BEAT 33's for 100 bucks and a 9 ft cb antenna... figured why not right? lol

Next, i found a beefy steel bumper for 40$ on Craigslist... really pumped on this find its a hellof a deal

After that, it was time for the lift install:
out with the old:

In with the new:
^^ drove it home from my familys garage like this LOL

Then i took her out on her maiden voyage, and a very large need for a tcase drop lol

the next step was to mount the ****ty tires onto the rims i got for 40 bucks and toss em on

After too much rubbing, i trimmed my fenders:

LOVE FENDERLESS hahaha

After that, i taught myself how to weld and made a tire carrier for my hitch... didnt last long tho cuz my hitch was too rotted through to be considered safe

thanks mann, yeah i love my 2door!
found this pic.. live how big my girlys lookin parkin at wally world <3

anyway...
So i dd'd my jeep for a while with no issues, pretty much average about 15ish mpg.... def need to regear, my 3.07's suckk
but either way, next, i took another shot at fabrication- this time, with a roof rack. I made it out of EMT conduit and it cost me 37 dollars total....

heres a pic of the gutter mounts...

after that, i waited a little for Xmas to come and i ended up getting five 55W Harbor Freight off-road lights..
i faced em so that they are ... panoramic i guess u could say... they light up the trail so much, you cant tell whether or not my headlights are on

I love everything about these lights, but i need to fix the wiring, i don't have a relay runnin to em so im blowin rocker switches left and right.
after that, i wheeled quite a bit and cleared tons of trails over on the mountain by my house

AND NOW after a a far needed couple of months...
i got new tires
all together it was $1049.00 with an alignment, balance, etc. at Town Fair Tire.
went with the Cooper STT's 33x12.5's
I originally was lookin at Toyo open country's, But these tires seemed pretty much the same, but with more sidewall ply and a little softer (i like that their siped and hard ,but still not too hard cause i drive to ski mmountains alot and during snowstorms
)
I always swore i would never buy brand new tires but i really needed em and im glad i got em....

You gotta love when the guy at the tire shop comes to the waiting room and he goes... whoever has the jeep with big *** tires... its ready

I love how they look, and for a mud tire, i think they're mad quiet. although clayton3854 thinks differently due to upgrade move from at's...
I wheeled em today and they had no problem gripping, i couldn't be happier with them (although i realized I hate crossing mud pits that are iced over)
So now I am pretty much caught up with where I am at now...
In the near future, expect to see a cowl intake,
a Durango alternator upgrade.... (30$ at the local JY)

TJ flares im gettin from my buddy for 40$ and some more fender trimming/bedlining lower door/rocker area.
I'll also be putting in some reverse spotlights soon (already have the lights, just not the time or patience)
and if this friend of mine pulls through.. ill be getting a swing out tire carrier bumper for 150.... KEEPIN MY FINGERS CROSSED
