awesome! its going to be pretty sweet with a soft top wall thing
but as for wiring that really sucks cuz most of the time you end up replacing everything before you find the problem
id just trace the wires around look for loose or broken connections and or rotted wiring then throw in some new stuff and see how it does

Well my Dad and I messed around with the Jeep most of the morning and got everything but the dash back lighting working. I also managed to get a little bit of work done to the jeep.
I finished welding up the tail gate mounts and then I decided I wanted to see what the stock bumper would look like on the jeep so I modified that a little bit and tacked it into place.
I am in need of your guys' help thought. I can't figure out how to finish the ends of the bed rails beside the tail gate. This is what it looks like, I would like it to be as flush with the tail gate as possible, any ideas??
Next project is to cut and fold the lower quarter pannels and then make the doors removable...

ya down & in a bit, but as far as the QP's I'd cap it off the rest of the way & cut round holes for like trailer lights! What you've finished looks way clean so far!!!

I don't mind that the tail gate sits higher then my bed rails, the main reason that I did not move it lower was because I did not want to cut the away any more of the rear cross member then I had to. I am trying to figure out how to finish the sheet metal work were the stock tail lights would go, not sure how I should do that...

try bending some sheet metal to match the bends in the tailgate! As for how it set too high you could just chop the top of the gate off & cap it off flush with the QP's, do a good bondo job like you did on the side it will look clean!!!

For tail lights...
two of both of these. They are 2" Clearance lights, but should work as tail lights as well.
Or a set of these. Witch are a Stop, Turn, Tail light.
and for reverse lights I have two of these that I am going to put somewere...
What do you guys think?
builtnotbought89' there is NO bondo on this truck yet.... all the body work has been done by welding and grinding...

leave the tail gate the hieght it is and just weld up some more to the QP's to match it you could also add some bed rails so you have places to hook straps and secure your cargo in the back
the lights are going to look good on cant wait to see them installed!
also i was just wondering if you had any plans for extra support for the unibody? any cage plans?

I thought about building up the bed rails, but I don't think I have enough metal left to do that, I might cut and fold the tail gate so that the height matches... I just remembered that I have a set of VW Jetta Fender markers that I might use for turn signals....
As of right now I'm looking for a YJ/TJ roll bar and modify that to work. Or I'll price out some metal and get a buddy to bend up a main hoop and rear legs. All depends on how my wallet feels...

My bad, even better thats some clean fab work on the sides for having no bondo/filler yet! Your probably gonna need some filler on the tail light section...
