So I got my drop brackets installed and took the truck out for a drive. WOW does it ever drive better. So me and a buddy went to rip some logging roads around his house and found out that the front axle wont engage so time to weld the put a few welds into the splines so that the sleeve cant move. Any way here are some pictures from the day.

Well today I got off my *** and welded up the front diff sleeve so that the front axle wont disengage. I also mounted up my off road lights. Got two of them wired up, just need to get around to wiring up the outer two. Went through my camera and found a few pics from the first time I took the Jeep out.

Here is the Jeep with the lights on it now.

Yea the 'P' fell off while flying down the logging roads.
To be honest the truck does have some flex, but it isn't that bad. The floors and rockers are rusted out as well. The only place that I noticed any stress is when you open the door were those little vent things are.
So today I also picked up two 7 foot lengths of 2x6 I beam to build my bumpers out of. A buddy had them laying around in his yard and gave them to me. Any suggestions on how to make the I beam into a nice looking winch bumper up front and simple looking rear bumper for the rear? I am in need of some ideas for this one.
I also now have to replace the rear drive shaft U-joint and possibly the yolk on the axle it's self. When the u joint exploded it broke one of the U-joint straps bolts in half and also broke off on of the ears that stops the U-joint from sliding left to right. Ideas on how to fix that one? I'm thinking weld a new tab to the yolk or U-joint strap and then use an easy out on the broken bolt.

Well I built a rear bumper the other day, all I need to do is mount some turn signals to it and paint it and then its done. I also put a hitch up from so that I have a recovery point up front.

Yeah man i hate the 4 door chops but the 2 doors are nice. Yours is deffinetly one of my favorites. Did you add metal on the interior sides of the bed ?

Thanks man. Thats kinda funny because I am wanting a 4 door non cop now.
Thanks. No I didn't do inside bed walls, I left them open so that I can put stuff in them.

Just getting caught up on all my build threads and noticed your home brew tire carrier. How did you do the hinge off the hitch? I'm looking to do something similar but I hesitate because people talk about how it rattles.
Thanks,
