Well got a little more work on the rear Sterling axle today. I bought a universal truss from RuffStuff but had to widen it some to clear the pumpkin.

Finished it up with RuffStuff upper link bracket.

I'm going to fabricate some extension to incorporate the lower shock mounts but I need to find those locations first before I cut the plate (I'll be using 1/4" plate). Tomorrow I thinking about starting on the front Dana 60. I plan on making my own truss from scratch for this since I want to incorporate the shock mounts, track bar, upper links and 4500 style double end ram mount. I'd like to get the motor mounts done but I haven't figured out how I want to run the exhaust (some sort of headers or stock manifolds). But I think I need to finalize the front axle first to figure out where the front driveshaft will be and then I can finish the engine offset for the best clearance.

Started on the front truss.

What do you do when you don't have one of those expensive iron worker, just use what you have.

Finally have a weekend off, so off to the shop for some Jeep time. I ordered a couple of pairs of 1.25" hiems from RuffSutt to start the mock ups. I found a good deal on a Panosonic Toughbook to have out in the shop to run the Link calculator and BendTech software. I ran spome new numbers on the the 4-link calculator and this is what I'm going with.

Mocked up the lowers using some pcv tubes.

Hopefully RuffStuff will have a EJS sale so I can either get the rest of the Hiems.

Got the lower RuffStuff frame mount done.

Lowers arms mocked up. Bottom of the lower mount height is same as frame (25").

Mockup of the uppers. It has 7.875" of separation in the middle hole.

Well I took a step backwards this weekend and redid the cage. I just didn't like how it was fitting for head room.
I so didn't quite like how my bender was so I upgraded it with a kit from Swagbucks Off-road.

I started to make the cross over bars but my hole saw blade finally gave up the ghost and I didn't have a spare. This seems like a gained a 1/2"+ of head room.
