You've done some good work to yours too! I'm diggin that brush guard. How do you like those Hella's?
I gotta say, I reeeeeally love the way my jeep looks and performs off road, but it just does not compare to how it rode and handled when it was stock. I do miss those days.

Haha dude I have a twin! Well had...your jeep & my jeep = twins!
My exterior..paint and such is a little rougher but man Same interior and all! I've got an 88 lerado!
Made me so happy to see yours cleaned up the right way! You need to do a 3" and some D-window wheels so we can be twins again lol
Awsome work man.

I got my Cherry Bomb Glasspack in the mail today! Headed down to the muffler shop and had it welded in. I know some people use the clamps, but I wanted it solid, plus the guy at the shop was cool and welded a couple other spots that were rattling.

*UPDATE*
Well, it has been about five years since I've posted on my own thread so I figured I'd throw an update on here. A lot has happened with Ruby over the years. She saw a lot of garage time when I had my 2005 Subaru WRX, unfortunately I had to get rid of that car because of financial struggles. Good thing I had the good old XJ waiting for me! Long story short, A LOT of work to be done, some of which I have already started. My brother-in-law's 1990 XJ died on him so that became my donor car. Upgraded from the weak Dana 35 rear axle to a stronger Chrysler 8.25. Replaced the front end as well because mine had quite a few issues. Here are some pictures to update what my XJ really looks like now, plan on adding more soon! Good to be back, I love my Ruby Red XJ!
Brother-in-law's 1990 XJ with his Chrysler 8.25 ripped out.
Look ma, no axles!
Drove a week with miss-matched wheels...
Axle swap complete, I really like the lace Jeep wheels! This is what she looks like today.

Jeep has been in the shop for a couple weeks... the head gasket finally caught up with me. Spending an arm and a leg to fix her... this was one project I was not excited about. Working 7 days a week has forced me to take it to a mechanic for the first time. I'm hoping after this she will run for a long time and any other smaller issues I will continue to take care of myself. Picking Ruby up today on my lunch break, can't wait!

After getting the old girl back with a new head gasket... she over heated on the way home... -_- I had her towed back to the shop and they kept her for another couple weeks. After talking with the owner of the shop, he wasn't sure what was wrong (I'm thinking they just don't know exactly how to fill up a Renix Jeep with coolant) but they checked over everything, put in a new Thermostat and a couple other things. So I went to go pick her up for the SECOND time and after making it home this time... the coolant bottle overflows of course. Since there was no overheating issue I figured the system just still needed some major burping. Sure enough, after burping her plenty myself and adding more coolant, she is doing great! Runs better than she ever has under my ownership and couldn't be happier! Victory!
