A lot more work, but maybe...I have one of those portable tanks I could convert for the rear cargo area, and THOUGHT I had an old twin tank compressor that died...but alas, I went outside to look for it, and it's gone...pops must've thrown it out...would've been perfect, as they were stacked on top of each other, taking less space inside...
Got any old tanks at work? The trucks are air brakes, right?

Using an older tank, please hydro it before installing it in the cab. When a tank blows, it makes a mess. Hydrostatic testing at home isn't too difficult. Fill with water, pump up to 135% of max operating pressure.

No, I don't lick fish.
Lol... I was kidding guys. I'm glad that setup works for the roadhouse guys, but that was my first thought as well when I saw it.

Did the oba conversion on mine and supervised/drank there beer on three other XJs. I'm sure you already got it covered but if you need anything let me know.
Using .180 wall capped with some 1/4" flat bar for my sliders-tanks. They've seen some pretty extreme rock carnage in the Sierras and I don't think I would ever question the structural integrity of them as air tanks in a rock crawling situation. High speed impact. I don't know, don't want to find out and there only full of air when needed.
