I've been busy chasing the snow over the last couple months with the Jeep, our latest adventure down to Solden Austria, and St. Anton Austria.

So this thread has been keeping my mind busy:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/xj...outers-241128/

I didn't want to clutter up this thread as much with my brainstorming ideas, but as actual progress is made I can bring theory and ideas into this thread when they become actual achievements.

That being said, I disassembled a spare RHD Dana 30 and need to start cutting things down to the bare housing this weekend. This is in an effort to work on an axle outside of my Jeep so that I don't have to take it down for lengthy project work/maintenance while I am reliant on it as a weekend vacationer. Take note of the different configuration for the track bar mount, being that it's a RHD. I plan to cut all this garbage off and make my own mounts.

The Dana 30 housing will be rebuilt with 4.56's, to match my AW4 4-speed and the intended purpose of the rig on 32" tires. That being said, I haven't decided on a front carrier yet. My 3.55 carrier won't work with the 4.56's. Leading options that suit my fancy are a 27 spline Trutrac limited slip, or 30 spline Eaton E-locker. I'm not really interested in lunch box lockers or full mechanical lockers for this rig, since I intend to drive in 4wd on the highway if needed and would rather have a limited slip or an open diff engaged, rather than a swirly locker. Any personal feedback from folks running either the Trutrac or the E-locker in a front XJ?

(other sites seem to work..?)

Ok, I got some parts from Canada, a forum member sent me the insert for transfer case indicator, brake warning, etc Lights - (left of gauge cluster) by mail - inside a regular letter to save $$.

These are a bit different than US models. - See attached pictures -
- What do your gauges/ indicators look like?
