Nope, just gonna plug the failsafe line since they usually don't work anyway. XJ blocks fail over time, too, and they tend to lose their rear brakes.

**** **** **** **** **** **** ****.

Trussed D44 is installed. Had to clearance the truss for my SUA u-bolts since it was designed for an XJ.

Rear proportioning valve is bypassed, and I have rear brakes for the first time in months.

Rear driveshaft is too long.

Front driveshaft is making a ton of noise in 4WD. Seems to be a bang with each rotation of the shaft. Loud inside, quiet outside. Increases with speed; upshift doesn't slow it down.

Truck is parked at the shop. Getting driveshaft shortened tomorrow before work. Removing old brake hardware and touching up paint on cuts, grinds, and welds on Friday. Hopefully driving it again Friday. CPO swap meet on Saturday. I'll be in 2WD after that until further notice.

Oh, and my D44 got dropped on my fingertip when we were positioning it. That's been fun.

Welding what? Or do you mean me, personally? I've never welded, and I can't practice in my apartment parking lot.

Not a squeak. It sounds like the ujoints are banging against something with each rotation, but they aren't touching anything. Only happens when they're under load; not in neutral or coasting. Happens in drive or reverse when moving, and frequency is relative to driveshaft speed.

Anybody have a similar problem after removing the rear DS? Remember my early model tail cone isn't sealed. May be relevant.

use a Gatorade cap to seal the output - **** fits perfect

Already done. It drips a bit, but not bad. I'm worried about the front, though.
