Yes... Someone pulled onto the Highway in front of me cutting me off. I slammed on my brakes to avoid rear ending them. But since the road was wet I hydroplaned and swerved off the road into the pole.
The other driver that caused it didn't stop. Luckily for me one driver witnessed it and stopped to talk with the Highway patrol officer and another followed the other driver and got his license plate and a picture of the car.
But I'm going to have to replace my:
front bumper
bumper brackets
drivers front fender
Lower and upper control arms
axle side lower control arm mount
grill
headlight bezel
side marker lights
and I have to pound the drivers floor pan back down (tire beat the **** out of it)
Lucy for me a lot of local XJ's are donating parts for me to fix Storme

Effin do it. You know the sucky thing? at least here in Ohio, if you'd have a** ended them, it would be your fault for "failure to assure a clear distance" or somesuch.
At least you had witnesses who helped you out. are you alright? looks like a decent enough impact to knock you around.

With a dashcam I can rear end them and have the proof that they cut me off and caused the accident.
I tried to find the vehicle at the business they pulled out of with no luck. I looked at around 100 cars. I'm starting to think that they were a patient of one of the doctors in the building.
On another note.... I'm stripping Storme of the parts I've added to her over the past couple years and selling her to someone else. I plan to eventually buy another XJ private sale and start over with Storme II.

Guys I need some help. As you should all know I was run off the road Friday afternoon. I ran into a metal utility pole damaging my vehicle and injuring myself so I would not injure anyone else by running into them.
The vehicle that ran me off the road left the scene and the Florida Highway Patrol has had no luck in locating the driver responsible for the crash.
My auto insurance will not pay for my vehicle to get repaired or for the towing or storage fees.
I'm trying to bring my 2001 Jeep Cherokee "Storme" home tomorrow so I can rebuild her. The towing company wants $280 from me in order to release her to me. I haven't been able to work consistently for the past year due to a severe spinal and brain injury that occurred March of last year.
I am currently unable to afford to pay the fees. So I am asking if you guys could help me out. I'm trying to raise the money needed. Please if you can any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a link to a paypal.me account I set up for any donations.
paypal.me/XJStorme
Please any help is greatly appriciated.

wtf insurance company do you have?
At the very least, mine reimbursed me for the tow bill, which was 100 dollars to take the heep 9 miles to my house.
and now i see what you mean about the picture of the car, the resolution isnt so high that you can make out the plate.
what a load of garbage.

To everyone on here that knows I live in Florida. I left the Tampa area on Thursday in the afternoon with my family and our pets. We made it 80 miles in 3 hours due to traffic. On the way my caravan had to be jump started three times before making it just south west of Jacksonville... and I had a tire blow out. My van was left in a Walmart parking lot and I rented a new Chrysler Pacifica. Before making it out of Florida my mother ran over a nail and got a flat. We made it through Georgia and half way through South Carolina before we could get the tire replaced.... so we were driving on a donut. And we finally made it to North Carolina yesterday afternoon.
It is not looking very good for my house at this time as the storm is heading straight for it. And with the water receding like it is I'm starting to think that my house will end up flooded.
And Storme is still in my driveway.... so I think my trees might try and flatten her
