Hello I'm Clayton and this is my build thread for my jeep. I bought it in november last year for $1600. It has 4.0, ax-15, 231, Dana 30, and Dana 35. I just recently lifted it and I hadn't done anything major before lifting it. I got a job during the summer because I'm in high school and I bought a parts jeep that had a 6.5" rustys la lift, 35s, and an arb front bumper for $1000. I had to buy new shocks and a rear driveshaft because the parts jeep didn't have one and two of the shocks had big dents in them and where blown out. I'll post some pictures now.

This is the parts jeep.

The parts jeep had tie rod ends that were in better condition than mine so I just swapped the whole steering in. I didn't even have to get it aligned and it handles better than when it was stock. Haha.

And then I tested it out. Everything worked great I just need bump stops and I had to trim the fenders more. I also need to lose the dana 35

Like I said my jeep rides handles better than ever with the lift on. I drove it stock with no sway bars and I have to admit that it's dangerous especially in the rain. But with the stiffer suspension it's completely safe. I haven't felt the need to have a steering stabilizer either. Long arms and no sway bars makes the ride quality good even with the cheap white shocks. My jeep rides a hell of a lot better than my ex girlfriends did with both sway bars and a 3" lift. Okay that's it for tonight it's my bed time.

I finally got around to changing my water temp sending unit. My gauge hasn't been working for a while so now it is which is good. My future plans are an 8.8 swap and 4.88s, rattle can paint job, shackle relocation brackets and 4.5" springs, rockers, and bumpers, and some stronger steering. I plan on doing the 8.8 swap relatively soon since I have a dana 35 in it right now. Haha.

I can taste the sarcasm. Everyone may just be in too much awe looking at your sweet chrome grill that they forgot to comment, happens with me all the time

But no, really, good work!

Yeah 35s on the dana 30 and 35 with 3.07 gears. I know it's really risky and yeah I need to upgrade the axles but I kind of feel like beefing up stock axles is pointless so I'm just going to swap in the 8.25 27 spline 4.10 LSD axle that I have and get 4.10's for the front and keep the diffs open. I might put 29 spline dana 30 shafts in if I can find some for cheap. But in the mean time I'm going easy on the jeep. I run 33 ats on the street too so it only sees the 35s on the weekends. I want to swap full widths in but I need to get a truck before I can park the jeep but that could be a while because I'm still in high school and I don't make very much money working only on the weekends. I might just sell the jeep to get a truck though. I'm pretty undecided about all of this. And no I'm not putting the roof rack on my jeep. I hate roof racks. That's my opinion.

Traded my front bumper for a dana 44. It has 4.88 gears, detroit locker, and disk brakes. I'll install it in a couple days and I'll post pictures.
